Orchestration, Conducting & Composition
As a celebrated composer, orchestrator and conductor Meadows has been commissioned by several of the UK's leading ensembles and organisations including the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Engines Orchestra and Apollo Jazz Network.
Throughout 2017/18 Meadows is conducting Dave Maric's Decade Zero, a collaboration between international jazz piano trio Phronesis and the Engines Orchestra. As a co-commission, the show is heading to Cheltenham, Manchester and London Jazz Festivals including a premiere broadcast for BBC Radio 3's Jazz Now.
Other recent highlights include a commission from the Gateshead International Jazz Festival to orchestrate his Lifecycles project for a 60 piece collaboration between the Royal Northern Sinfonia and Jambone Big Band for performance in Sage Gateshead's Hall One.
In 2016, Meadows was also commissioned by Apollo Jazz Network to orchestrate, conduct and develop a project around the music of Ingrid Jensen (One of NYC's finest trumpeters). The project premiered at a sold-out Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, receiving four-star reviews from The Guardian.
