Not everybody who's warm and cuddly are the way they appear to be! Beware of the Bear is the brainchild of multi-award winning UK saxophonist Phil Meadows. Recognised as one of the most distinctive, create and talented young musicians in Europe his music is inspired by global sounds – combining jazz elements with classical, hip-hop, electronica, contemporary music and more.

Working closely with electronic artist Nick Tyson (Gentleman's Dub Club/XOA) and producer Mikko Gordon (Thom Yorke, Kamasi Washington and Nitin Sawhney) this new project showcases an important wave of British talent. Exploring new musical relationships and fresh influences you’ll hear soaring melodies, atmospheric soundscapes and head-nodding grooves as Meadows’ new sounds tip influence towards the music of Go-Go Penguin, Donny McCaslin, Tigran, Bill Laurance, Portico Quartet and more.
