So last year I got together with pianist/conductor Daniel Parkinson to form a duo that freely improvises based upon themes, the first set of themes we have chosen to use are different environments the earth has to offer. Despite Earths overall sincerity it has a bite as we have all especially noticed over the past few years. With the fantastic human perception of beauty we all interpret different landscapes, areas and cultures of the world in entirely different ways. What someone may think is amazing others may think is equivalent to their grandmothers 1960′s floral curtains!

Here is the trailer for the project! We will be performing as part of Chetham’s International Piano Course over the summer 2011! Some of it is fairly intense and raucous as other passages use melodic and rhythmic beauty. Interesting and different to say the least!
