On the 31st July the Phil Meadows Group had the privilege of performing in Newcastle at Schmazz. It was our first trip to Tyneside and hopefully not our last as we had a fantastic time experiencing the city, we even got to see the millennium bridge rise!
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who came, you were a wonderful audience and it was great to get to know some of you in the break and after the show, please don’t be strangers! Also a big thank you to the whole committee associated with Schmazz who are some of the most passionate, dedicated and kindest organisers I have ever had the pleasure of working alongside, true music lovers helping jazz in the North East shine. A round of applause to them all on their funding success allowing the club to continue for a while longer: We were worried that we might be their swan song!
